Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Neuron HQ ("Neuron", "we", "us") provides website design, application development, SEO and
generative-engine optimisation services, and the Neuron SEO application at
neuron-hq.com. This policy explains what data we collect across our website and applications,
why we collect it, and the controls you have over it. It applies to neuron-hq.com and to the
Neuron SEO app, including its connections to third-party platforms such as Google and Meta.
1. What we collect, and why
Website visitors
- Advertising pixel. Our site uses the Meta Pixel and, server-side, the Meta
Conversions API to measure whether our own advertising works (page views, leads, purchases).
This shares standard event data with Meta under
Meta's privacy policy. You can limit ad
tracking in your browser settings and in your Meta ad preferences.
- Lead forms. If you request an audit, a checklist, or a call, we store the
details you enter (typically your name, email, phone, and website) to deliver what you asked
for and to follow up about our services.
- Server logs. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, pages
requested) are kept for security and debugging and roll off automatically.
Customers of Neuron SEO
- Account. Your email address, your plan, and your entitlements. Payments
are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your
card number.
- Scan data. The website domain you ask us to analyse, the public content of
that site, the questions and search terms our system derives for it, and search-volume data we
fetch for those terms.
- Generated content. The pages, answers, and recommendations the product
writes for you.
- Connected accounts (optional). If you connect Google Search Console,
Google Business Profile, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, we store the OAuth access granted by
that platform so the product can act on your behalf. See section 2 — this data has its own
rules.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their advertising.
- We do not use data from your connected accounts for our own marketing, for advertising, or
to train AI models.
- We never see or store your passwords for any platform — connections use OAuth, and you can
revoke them at any time.
2. Connected platforms (Google and Meta)
Connecting an account is always your explicit choice, made through the platform's own consent
screen. We request the minimum permissions the feature needs, and we use the access only for the
feature you enabled:
- Google Search Console — read-only. We read your site's search queries,
impressions, and positions to measure your visibility and choose what to write next.
- Google Business Profile — publish posts you approve to your own profile.
- YouTube — upload videos you created or approved to your own channel.
- Facebook Pages — publish posts to your own Page, and read and reply to
comments on your own posts where you enable comment features.
- Instagram (professional accounts) — publish posts and reels to your own
account, read and reply to comments on your own posts, and delete posts our product published
for you when you ask it to.
Tokens. Platform access tokens are stored encrypted at rest, are used only
server-side, are never exposed to your browser or to any other user, and are deleted immediately
when you disconnect the platform or delete your account.
Platform data. Data we receive from Meta or Google (posts, comments, metrics)
is used solely to operate the feature you turned on, is retained only as long as you keep the
connection, and is never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used to build profiles.
Google API Services. Neuron's use and transfer to any other app of
information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services
User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Where your data lives
Our applications run on Google Cloud (Firebase / Cloud Run) in the United States. Data is
encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Secrets and platform credentials are held in Google
Secret Manager. AI-generated content is produced using Anthropic and Google AI models; the text
we send those services is limited to what the feature needs and is governed by their respective
privacy policies.
4. Retention
- Account and product data: kept while your account is active.
- Connected-platform tokens and platform data: deleted when you disconnect, or when your
account is deleted.
- Leads that never become customers: retained up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Encrypted backups are kept for 90 days for disaster recovery; deleted data rolls out of
backups within that window.
5. Your controls
- Disconnect a platform at any time from the app's Connections screen — the
stored token is deleted immediately. You can also revoke our access from the platform's side
(Google Account → Security → Third-party access; Facebook/Instagram Settings → Apps and
websites).
- Export your data. Request a full export from inside the app or by
emailing us; we return a machine-readable file of everything we hold about you.
- Delete your data. Full instructions live at
neuron-hq.com/data-deletion. Deletion removes your account,
scans, generated content, connections, and tokens. It cannot be undone.
6. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will
remove it.
7. Changes
If we materially change this policy we will update the date above and note the change on this
page.
